The Future Equine Practitioners weekend has the distinct goal of exposing veterinary students with an interest in the equine field to a variety of hands-on experiences and valuable discussions with practicing veterinarians.
Our goal for the the Future Equine Practitioners Weekend is to help address the shortage of veterinary practitioners entering into equine medicine.
Desert Equine’s leaders are enthusiastic, energetic equine practitioners & business owners, that have a passion for equine medicine and sharing that passion with potential equine veterinarians. We also hope to help them realize the connections, comradery and support that equine practitioners have access to.
Through a series of wet labs and presentations, veterinary students are able to learn in active veterinary clinics encouraging collaboration & hands-on education.
